Thanks for visiting!  Our goal at Big Green City is to provide you with all the resources you need to live an eco-friendly lifestyle.  They say you should "think global" and "act local," but we think it's important to think local, too.  Sure, climate change and the depleting ozone layer are global issues, but it's caused by millions of people acting locally (just in the wrong way).  Many people don't even know how many businesses and other green-minded people exist right in their own backyards.  At Big Green City, we hope to introduce to you a whole new side to the city you call home.

Click on "News and Updates" to return to check out the latest green-related news effecting your city.  This is also where you'll find our featured business of the week, and, just for fun, a local weather forecast.  Information on site updates and other administrative happenings will be posted here, as well.

"Business Directory" will take you to our green business listings, where you can find local eco-friendly businesses specializing in everything from dry-cleaning to home-building.  Use this page as your go-to resource every time you need to locate a service provider.  Odds are there is someone out there providing a green alternative. 

Find out what environmentally-centric events are happening around town by clicking on "Event Calendar."  From small coffee shop gatherings to demonstrations to benefit concerts, you can use this page to fill up your little green planner.  If you know of something coming up that we don't have listed, let us know!  BigGreenCity.com is a community site at heart, so all input from community members is welcome.
